Blink

Blink 1.3.10 | October 2026

Custom Customer List Campaigns

Clients can upload a list of non-Blink users and create email or SMS campaigns for them. Links in these campaigns are tracked for order conversions, the same way regular campaigns are tracked.

Benefits:

  • Reach customers outside Blink: Run campaigns to people who are not yet Blink users.
  • Measurable results: Track which campaign links lead to orders.
  • Familiar workflow: Uses the same conversion tracking as existing campaigns.

Customer Alternate Phone Number

An optional alternate phone number field has been added when placing orders on apps and web. The number is forwarded to the merchant and rider consoles when the order is placed.

Benefits:

  • Better contactability: Gives teams a second number to reach the customer.
  • Consistent across channels: Works on apps, web, and consoles.
  • Smoother deliveries: Helps riders and merchants follow up if the primary number is unavailable.

Web – Removable Location Pop-up

A setting has been added so the order type selector and location pop-up can be bypassed on the website. When location permission is allowed and the customer is inside a restaurant geofence, location and delivery are set automatically and the customer lands on the menu.

Benefits:

  • Faster path to menu: Customers reach the menu with fewer steps.
  • Less friction at entry: Removes the location pop-up when it is not needed.
  • Smarter defaults: Auto-selects delivery when the customer is in range.

Push Notifications Scheduler

Push notifications can now be scheduled in advance for a selected audience from the console.

Benefits:

  • Plan ahead: Schedule campaigns instead of sending everything live.
  • Targeted reach: Send to a chosen group of customers.
  • Better campaign timing: Align notifications with promotions and peak hours.

Bulk Unique Promo Codes

Bulk unique promo codes can now be created from the Merchant Console, with a limit of 5,000 codes per batch and an optional prefix (for example, BLINK5012KJ).

Benefits:

  • Scale promotions: Generate large batches of unique codes quickly.
  • Clear branding: Optional prefixes make codes recognizable.
  • Less manual work: Avoids creating codes one by one.

Custom Pages – SEO Support

Custom pages on the website can now be crawled by Google so they can appear in search results.

Benefits:

  • Better discoverability: Custom pages can show up in Google search.
  • More organic traffic: Helps customers find branded content outside the app.
  • Stronger web presence: Turns custom pages into searchable destination pages.

Online Payment Only Items

Items can be marked as eligible for online payments only. If any such item is in the cart, the order can proceed only via online payment. Useful for gift cards and higher-value items.

Benefits:

  • Payment control: Force online payment for selected items.
  • Lower risk on high-value orders: Useful for gift cards and expensive platters.
  • Clear checkout rules: Customers see the required payment path before placing the order.

Grid Layout on All Menu Sections

Any menu section in the app can now be displayed in a grid layout, not only the first section.

Benefits:

  • Flexible menu design: Apply grid layout across the full menu.
  • Better browsing: Helps customers scan items more easily.
  • Consistent presentation: Aligns section layouts with brand preference.

Complimentary Orders

From a reference order, clients can create a duplicate complimentary order in a single click, with the order amount set to zero. Built for handling order complaints.

Benefits:

  • Faster complaint handling: Issue a free replacement without rebuilding the order.
  • One-click workflow: Creates the complimentary order from the original.
  • Clear zero-amount orders: Keeps the replacement order recorded at no charge.

Place Search in App and Web

When adding an address, customers can search for a place instead of only dragging the map pin. The feature is toggle-based.

Benefits:

  • Easier address entry: Search replaces pin-dragging for many addresses.
  • Optional rollout: Can be switched on or off per need.
  • Faster checkout setup: Speeds up address capture on app and web.

Referral Code Report

A new report shows how often referral codes have been used, on which orders, and what wallet cashback was given.

Benefits:

  • Clear referral performance: See usage and outcomes in one place.
  • Better campaign insight: Understand which codes drive orders.
  • Cashback visibility: Track wallet rewards tied to referrals.

Pre-Order Online Payment Only

A new toggle in settings lets pre-orders be restricted to online payments only.

Benefits:

  • Payment control for pre-orders: Require online payment before fulfillment.
  • Fewer unpaid pre-orders: Reduces risk on orders placed ahead of time.
  • Simple configuration: Controlled with a settings toggle.

Grocery UI Search Improvement

On the advanced/grocery UI for web and apps, search now shows recent searches, popular searches, and categories when customers look for an item.

Benefits:

  • Faster discovery: Recent and popular searches surface useful suggestions.
  • Better browsing: Categories help customers start from the right place.
  • Consistent experience: Same improvement on web and apps.

Custom Loyalty Point Name

Loyalty points on app and web can now be renamed (for example, Star Points) through master settings.

Benefits:

  • Brand-aligned rewards: Call points by your own name.
  • Clearer customer messaging: Makes loyalty language match the brand.
  • Consistent naming: Applied across app and web.

Back to Branch Distance Restriction

Riders can only confirm they have reached the branch when they are within a set radius, such as 200 metres.

Benefits:

  • Accurate branch check-ins: Prevents false “arrived” confirmations.
  • Better operational control: Ties confirmation to real location.
  • Clearer rider accountability: Enforces a configurable distance rule.

Category-wise BIN Discounts

Instead of a flat discount on certain cards, brands can set discounts on specific categories. The discount is calculated at the Swich card entry screen.

Benefits:

  • Targeted promotions: Apply card discounts only to chosen categories.
  • Better margin control: Avoid blanket discounts across the whole menu.
  • Clear checkout logic: Discount is calculated when the card is entered via Swich.

Total Collectible Cash on Riders

Rider wallet visibility has been added on the Rider Portal, including the ability to record cash handed in by a rider, with all logs retained.

Benefits:

  • Clear cash visibility: See what each rider is holding.
  • Simpler cash settlement: Record cash handed in from the portal.
  • Full audit trail: Every cash action is logged.

Rider Delete Option on Rider Portal

Riders can now be deleted from the Rider Portal.

Benefits:

  • Cleaner rider roster: Remove riders who are no longer active.
  • Simpler portal management: Handle removals without workarounds.
  • Better access hygiene: Keep the rider list up to date.

Pick-up Coordinates Removed from Rider Routes

Routes in the rider app now plot only delivery coordinates, not pick-up coordinates.

Benefits:

  • Cleaner route view: Focuses the map on delivery points.
  • Less map clutter: Removes pick-up points from the plotted path.
  • Clearer delivery planning: Helps riders follow the drop-off sequence.

Order Edit on Promo Orders

Orders that used a promotion can now be edited, with the promotion recalculated automatically after the change.

Benefits:

  • Flexible order changes: Promo orders are no longer locked from edits.
  • Accurate pricing: Promo amounts recalculate after edits.
  • Fewer support workarounds: Handle changes without cancelling and rebuilding.
